In 1958, The Chevy Chase Presbyterian Church Weekday Nursery School was established with a class of 20 4-year-olds. The school was born out of the desire of families in the church for a neighborhood school where their children could learn, play and socialize before entering elementary school. As years went on, and as the popularity of our school and the demand for quality early child care grew, programs were extended, and opened to the public. Now, almost 60 years later, our school continues to be a place where families create community and children are allowed to be children… doing the work they were meant to do in order to lay down the basic building blocks for success in learning.
